WB Confirms JUSTICE LEAGUE On Hold

By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor

Warner Bros. has finally confirmed that Justice League has been placed on hold, pending the WGA strike and a possible SAG strike in June-July. The studio let their options lapse on Tuesday, reports Variety. Apparently, the studio does want a script re-write as well so this film will be sitting in development hell until further notice...

They also revealed who was cast for the project before it was terminated. The film would have starred D.J. Cotrona, Adam Brody, Anton Yelchin, Common, Teresa Palmer and Megan Gale.

It's a shame. This would have been great.

Oh well, at least now we won't have to see Common as Green lantern.

Now Get Man of Steel off the ground, instead!

By the way, whatever happened to the Teen Titans film??

Thank Lucifer!

Anton Yelchin is all over the place. I actually think Common would have been very cool as Green Lantern. That cat can act.

Hopefully, its in Dev Hell for at least another 3 years and DC/WB smarten up about releasing it too soon. Got the Marvel route.

You know if Bret Ratner had been attached to direct, no matter what the studio was saying he would've said "Screw it, I'm shooting this thing regardless of script!"
The fact that they missed their shooting date due to script rewrites probably means WB actually cares at least a bit about what kinda film this ends up being. That's a good a thing.
I want this strike to end, cause I want to see this film sooner rather than later although now hopefully Miller can go ahead and get a new cast for the film. Was Adam Brody supposed to be playing the Dark Knight? I really can't see that.

R I P Crappy Justice League. Maybe in 5 years someone with sense will be at Warner and give this the treatment it deserves.

The script sounded pretty cool, I like Miller, But the cast (with the exception of Gale and Common) was pure shite! RIP

Somebody needs to show those assholes at Warner Bros. some of Alex Ross' Justice League artwork so the know what the hell it is they should be striving for.

I was actually seesawing in my head whether this movie was going to be made. They'd already put some hype behind it. They had a big event summer movie slot to fill. They seemed to be going full steam on the casting and pre-production. But something like this needs script finetuning with ensemble casts. And approach is everything in order to get the right tone. Plus internet criticism of this project must have pounded them.
Only disappointed in not seeing Megan Gale in a WW costume.
