The WB is developing an adventure series called CITY OF GOLD. The show written by Harley Peyton centers on an archeological expedition in the Amazon, with the conflict between a father and son at the core.

WB also means many beautiful women inexplicably in the jungle wearing little else but loin cloths... O.K. bring it on!!!

I liked this the first time I saw it, when it was called "Veritas: The Quest"... Oh, wait, or was it "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"?

You liked "Veritas: The Quest"?

Maybe they're anticipating the release of "The Librarian 2", where he goes to Saloman's mines and has an adventure, that is supposed to come out next year on TNT. But I could be wrong...and this could be cool...I always loved the action in adventure movies(Indian Jones, Mummy, Sahara, etc.).

well great, perhaps this is the vehicle that will move Tales of the Gold Monkey off of ABC's most forgotten shelf and onto DVD racks?

Veritas: the Quest was closer to a live action Johnny Quest than Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Veritas was well... well overboard in its own stupidity.

my vote goes for a Live action 'Venture Brothers' movie!!!

mvkracken, I loved Tales of the Gold Monkey. Sure I was just a kid, but it was like Indiana Jones every week on TV.

Wow! I'm surprised anyone still remembers Tales of the Gold Monkey! I was a kid also when it was on and I enjoyed it!

If this is one of those pretty people in extraordinary circumstances with no, foundational mythos to save it( ala Smallville), it will last like 6 or 7 eps, before it gets cancelled, that's even if they do it. I totally forgot about Veritas. Wsn't Arnold "the mummy" Voslo in that with the kid from the opening scene of Ring 2?
I actually thought the Librarian was pretty cool. They should make that a series.
