WB Interactive Entertainment will develop the videogame THE CONDEMNED: CRIMINAL ORIGINS which will serve as a prequel of sorts for a new movie they are putting into development called SPECIES X.
The idea for the game & film was created by Jason Hall and Nathan Hendrickson. Hall runs WBIE. The story centers on cop who has reason to question who he is as a man, until he realizes he's not a man. A tug-of-war emerges among a faction of good and evil aliens.
Hall told Variety, "We wanted to come up with something specifically designed to use multiple mediums to tell stories that had some continuity and connective thread."
The plan is to release the game at the same time the movie comes out, but the film will actually be a sequel to the game in terms of the story & universe created.
