Five months after revealing a teaser at last summer's Comic Con, Warner Bros. Pictures has unleashed the full trailer for Terminator Salvation courtesy of Apple. Planned as the first installment of a new trilogy, the film stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Common, Jadagrace and Helena Bonham Carter. Director McG led production behind the camera, based on a screenplay by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

You can check out the new trailer here.

Plot Concept: In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 22, 2009.

Good stuff...I'm there.  Well probably a month after it comes out because my wife is having our first baby that day. So I will probably catch the movie in late June or sadly on DVD. I tried to convince her to go to a midnight showing before we checked in at the hospital, but that didn't go over very well. It's cool though because as much as I want to see Terminator, it can wait, some things are just more important.

Christian Bale looks the part of Connor and Worthington looks like one bad dude. Plus I like all the new Terminator machines they look cool. However I hope they don't go too far with it, because then it becomes too much of a gimmick and I would rather have more story.

Im a bit confused lol where's the nuked out cities? The war looks pretty conventional if you ask me. The majority of it looks like in desert areas.
Perhaps this is just the beginning of the war? I really want to see the cities getting wiped out by the fire and how the human's rise up.
Bale looks great tho he fits connor well and i like the early versions of the Terminators with the miniguns and looking all creepy. T600's im thinking Still no Kyle Reese siting in the trailer im dying to see how Anton Yelchin looks as him.

I think we'll all still miss the Governator (arnold) as the killer robot from the future w/ an austrian accent..... " I WONT BE BACK"

I can't wait either.  I don't have that much faith in McG.  He might not be no Chris Nolan but he's far and away from Uwe Bolle or Tim Story, so I'm definitely going to give this a shot.  And Sergeant, even if there are nuked out cities, it doesn't necessarily mean that all of them were nuked.  Or that's where the Resistance fighters are, at least the ones that the movie is about.  I mean-I know this might not be an accurate comparison-you don't see Al Quaeda running around the cities over there...no, there hiding out in the boondocks and shit.  Know what I mean?

SgtTechCom 12/10/2008 10:42:54 AM

We'll i read that the future is sort of altered a bit and the Sam Worthington character may have something to do with it. I like the scenes with the jets flying around and the helicopters coming in ,they seem like they are fighting the machines that way which is pretty sweet . So but yeah it would be cool to just go with the actual skynet taking over and starting WWIII but maybe they'll save that for the next 2 movies. If this is the desert assuming new mexico maybe they make their way to Los Angeles and find it all nuked and fight another battle there. So it's either a preliminary war about connor raising his army - taking command so to speak or just a totally altered story still fighting the machines but like he says in the trailer " this is not the future my mother warned me about"

And i correct myself - i did see Kyle Reese in the trailer "Anton Yelchin" he looks good.

It looks as good as any trailer I have seen in the last 10 years, having said that it is only a trailer and we know how sometimes they can be very decieving...This at very least should make those who like to bash McG just for his name step the fuck back and shut it until they see something about this movie that qualifies them to stand up and complain, so for now it is a wait and see deal so heres hoping for the best...
