Warner Bros. has another comic adaptation on their horizons. The studio has picked up the Christopher Long-created comic Hiding in Time and has Beau Thorne set to direct once he fully wraps up on Max Payne, which is scheduled to hit theaters October 17, 2008. Dan Lin will be producing through his Lin Pictures shingle alongside Jon Silk, who brought the project into the company.

Plot Concept:
The story centers on the Witness Protection Program using time travel to relocate high-profile witnesses. When the program is compromised, a government scientist must travel back through the greatest moments in history to help a master thief rescue his old crew from the assassins sent back by their former employer.

Lin is a very busy producer at the moment. The trades report that he's also producing Terminator Salvation, Robert Rodriguez's Shorts, Richard Kelly's The Box, Ricky Gervais' This Side of the Truth and WB's Justice League (The last film is in development hell though.)

Looking forward to Max Payne. I wonder of they do that crazy, drug nightmare sequence that has him walking through room. That level took me forever to beat.

Justice League needs to stay in development hell.

I have to say I know many people are getting tired with the slow time bullet moving. But it has to be done in Max Payne. That was one of the main concept in the game. I loved the first Max Payne, but I still havent played part 2 as of yet. Hiding in time sounds like a interesting movie, I hope the trailer is good.

I think this movie sounds awesome. Now will it be done well, who knows, but great concept.

wolf, I agree with you on both counts. But I'm not tired of the "bullet time" and they should definitely incorporate it in the film. It is one of the big draws of the game afterall.

Justice League needs to get done. Every now and then I read a little something suggesting that the film will get done. Nikki Finke about 2 weeks ago mentioned it as still being pushed forward and how they'd want to re-work the director's contract. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This movie sounds pretty interesting but why the hell is WB adapting other people's comics when they own a treasure trove to pick from with DC and Vertigo

Man fuck May Payne, piece of shit film starring Marky Mark. It's going to be another Hitman. Screw that, you know God of War is where it's at.

Justice League is where it's at also, that needs to get done quickly. Look for it in 2012, it won't release 2011 cause that's the year of the Bat & Avengers.

By the way I throwing this guy out there for the Superman role, Jim Sturgess, you know the guy from 21. Just saw the flick yesterday. Anyway, guy is 27 years old by the time they get on JL he'll be 28 close to 29, bulks up a bit and can be the man of Steel. If Routh could pull it off I'm sure this guy can also.

Anybody complaining about there not being any good ideas isn't paying attention. Here's another one with great potential.

Thanks Wiseguy. Personally I am not tired of the "bullet time" either, but I do understand some people watching like 100 movies doing the same shit and saying Oh OK now you guys are overdoing it. Especially when the movie sucks major ass. I really hope they do Justice League good. One think I am feeling better about is that Comic Movies are starting to do sooo much better nowadays and I feel like theres a very good chance this is done right. The most tricky part is having to deal with a bunch a superheroes and try to focus on each one of them. Being that Superman being in the click is going to be hard because you just dont want to forget about the other team like Flash, Wonderwoman, Green Lantern, and the Martian Manhunter.

This sounds like an interesting concept, but not very realistic (even from a movie point of view). Wouldn't they be worried about the witnesses messing with the past once they got back there? Maybe, if I witnessed a murderer, then was sent back in time to hide from him, maybe I'd try to kill off his great grandfather so he would never be born. Or, what if I was trying to stay out of people's way to keep from altering time, but accidentally ran over someone's dog and it changed how they behaved yadda yadda yadda...
