Hugo Weaving did V for Vendetta where we do not see his face at all during the whole movie.  I am very surprised the article did not point this one out as him playing V was freaking AMAZING.

I say let him do it as Weaving can do ANYTHING he wants and make it kick ass.

i think the point wasnt so much his face covered but more the fact that he would be under heavy makeup the entire time

So no one else thinks he looks like Namor?

He's way too old for namor.  Not to mention a little iffy about seeing him in a scaled speedo.

Sony - I see Namor for sure.

Hugo would be a great Red Skull for shiz, Christoph Waltz would also be excellent. I think saying him playing Red Skull would be typecasting or that he wouldn't want to play a Nazi is a bit of a stretch, Red Skull is not the typical 'Nazi' you see in most WWII era films he is quite a bit of a departure from the norm. In fact I'm sure Waltz said that he had been offered many Nazi's before Basterds and he turned them all down because the roles were too generic, I think he would be fine with Red Skull.

How can you be too old for Namor? Namor should not be a kid unless it is a brief glimpse of his past. He is one of the most mature and relaxed characters in all of comics. Hugo looked older 10 years ago and like Tom Cruise he will most likely look the same for the next 10-20 years.

I hope Red Skull is all make up or done along the lines of NOMAK where some CGI is added to mask and make up minimally.

Wolfman spoiler

is that when Wolfman Sr gets his head torn off by Wolfman jr it is superimposed cgi and I laughed hard because it quickly turns from wolfman to Hopkins rather quickly in mid air but not cool like Punisher War Zone where the meth heads get shot down flipping over roofs.

I'm with Optimuslive4evr. I've got no desire whatsoever to see Hugo in a Speedo.Physically speaking, The Rock is the perfect Namor. But, I'll be very surprised if we see Subby in "The First Avenger." Unless I missed the anouncement and Marvel got the rights back, the Prince of Atlantis' rights are still held by Universal.

Namor was part of The Invaders. It was said that The INVADERS  would be in the 1940's scenes in some incarnation. No official characters except a British hero were announced but it was said there would be a few. With Smallville covering a Watchmen type story for JSA it makes sense they would do this.  It was on Mania a month or so ago.

Hugo might be good.  Personally, I'd go with Stellan Skarsgard.  I think he'd be perfect for the role.
