For the third week in a row, big Hollywood movies and network specials took over slots in the genre to ten usually filled by hour-long heavy-hitters. STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE made a big splash on Thursday, while the first part of ABC's adaptation of the DINOTOPIA childrens' book series drew monster ratings.
Other points of interest: the season finale of ALIAS beat out the second to last episode of THE X-FILES, which is a first.
