boy! i only recently started revisiting C2F after about a 2 month hiatus from the looks of things i might be taking another loooong hiatus. i totally understand what you guys were trying to do with this update....provide more information, news and entertainment. granted you've done that..but it's wayyy too confusing now. gone are the links to articles i enjoyed reading and most of all..gone is the fan art and the front page [whether you know it or not your artistic fanbase really makes a big deal out of making the front page with thier gallery art and reading the comments]. you can go almost anywhere on the internet and find the same information about films, books etc...but c2f became a community to me and i had something in common with other members. now the whole thing seems so commericial and steril. as much as i hate toi say it ..i agree with the previous comments.
Will we still get supernauts awesome rablings on nerdom. Savage henry lee's drug induced christ-like whorship of Allen moore and all the things that actually made comics2film different from superhero hype or any of the other so-so sights out there? This is kind of disappointing.
Rob - Totally agree w/the rest. You had a GREAT thing with C2F. When I stumbled across it the first time I thought I hit the comic geek jackpot. While none of us 'orignal C2F'rs'know why you sold the site I believe we all agree you made a HUGE mistake. This new garbage portal is more difficult to manuever around then trying to get a bail out package passed. Lets face facts ITS CRAP, and you lost your loyal fan base. I'm very glad I won one of the Iron Man poster tubes and can't wait for it to arrive. But rest assured. This is the last post and last visit to this site.
It was AWESOME while it lasted. Sorry you lost the one site most of us held near and dear and probably the one site left out there that made us proud to be the Comix Geeks we are.
So Long C2F, you will be and are SORELY Missed.

Krinshaw2: I understand those concerns completely. But the game plan is to get the basic transition to happen and smooth off the rough edges as quickly as possible. And, I have to say I'm very impressed with the responsiveness of the Mania team. They are working hard to do everything I ask as quickly as they can.
I'll just keep saying "please bear with us".
Winterhawk: Thanks for the good wishes.
Everyone who is concerned about the FAN ART GALLERY: We'll be getting the Gallery back in shape very soon. It's actually already here on Mania, but I've asked the team to make some refinements before we unveil it. The fact that EVERYONE is asking about it helped the Mania folks realize that it should be a TOP priority, so please keep sending your comments!
PHLEAN: The blogs are here. Right now they are off to the side in a box side with the blog headlines, but we're working to get them into proper shape. The Xenos, Supernaut and the sometimes-dormant Superfist have all expressed eagerness to get back to writing.
On another positive note, Supernaut will be stepping up to writing a weekly column in addition to his blog.
To Everyone saying "It's Crap" and "this sucks" and so forth: It's fine if you think that, so feel free to say it.
But if you can provide specific things that you miss, please be specific and we'll try to fix it.
If the list of THINGS THAT MUST BE FIXED is too long to get your head around, just focus on the top two items you have on it and we'll focus on those. When those are fixed give us your next two.
As I said above, the fact that Mania was getting so many emails asking "Where's the fan art" had a huge influence.
WISEGUY562 - I didn't even realize that you used the "one-stop shopping" line! Great minds must think alike, huh? That's... that's from a Kroger commercial, right? I can't remember.
gr689 - Yup, I actually am a C2F regular and I am in fact The Supernaut, but I don't blame you for not recognizing me. I don't use the devildinosaur account that much. Not really sure why I even have it, but I'm planning on getting it switched over to Supernaut so my legions of fans can find me (ha ha).
Robbo's right, I do try to be positive even when I criticize stuff. One man's Flash Gordon is another man's Phantom Menace, right? I agree with some of you guys: there's some kinks that need to be worked out, but overall - this site has got a TON of cool stuff and it'll just take some getting used to. It sounds like the Mania folks are working hard to get it done.
And I'll second Robbo's idea: Don't just say "It sucks" - be specific. I'll be honest, I was very confused/concerned and had a bunch of questions about how this transition was going to work - so I called Rob up and hashed it out. So here's his phone number... just kidding.
But seriously, it's only gonna work if we work together. And thanks to the people who asked about my blog! It's nice to know somebody out there likes me.
