Welcome to 2001 - It's a New Year and a New Millennium!

I'd like to wish all of you a belated Happy New Year, New Decade, New Century, and New Millennium. After decades of holding 2001: A Space Odyssey up as my favorite film of all time, it truly is incredible to be living in the Year 2001, even if I can't take a round trip to the Moon in a Pan Am Space Clipper. Nevertheless, the film retains its greatness; the flaw is not in the prophetic vision of Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke, but in the lack of vision in a world that failed to catch up with what they imagined.
