I love movies. When I was a kid, in the cave-dwelling days before there were VHS and later DVD players in every home, it was a real treat when a favorite movie played on one of the six or seven TV stations I could get with my antenna. My friends and I lived for showings of King Kong, Forbidden Planet, Dracula and The Day The Earth Stood Still. We were glued to the TV set when syndicated reruns of Star Trek aired. The first movie I saw in the theater was The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and that began my love affair with movies. My first date was to see "Star Wars" with my childhood sweetheart, and when Star Trek: The Motion Picture hit theaters in 1979 I was there opening day spending my hard-earned allowance on the collector's cup (which I still use as a pencil holder). I've been all around the world and have had so many great experiences in my life, but nothing beats getting lost in a great movie on the big screen for two hours.
Dude, I swear I thought there were 3 people on the planet that even remember or have ever heard of The Changeling. I was 11 the first time I saw it. I remember sitting in front of the TV during the day and I started watching it. Got to the part when they were talking and she's walking to the bottom of the stairs, looks up, and gets that petrified look on her face. I didn't even continue at that point to find out what it was until like several years later when I sat down and watched the whole thing through finally. I still think the seance scene and the scene he's listening to the recording of it are some of the best acted and best filmed scenes in movie history.
