this is good news for sure but take your time Mr Whedon and get it done the right way, just like you did with the first one sir....

Best news today. Marvel could not have afforded to play hardball with Whedon like they did with Favreau. Methinks this was Disney cash that made a huge deal out of it. Not only that but Whedon gets a lot of power now with TV shows and movies under the House of Mouse.

I'm looking forward to Avengers 2, the next big "kiddie popcorn flick" :)

I mean, isn't this kinda one of those "Duh!" moments?  Who else would they get to direct it?

 I dont care what you call Avengers...Just a great time to be had! period! :)

 Definately take the time and get it right, while we have 5 movies to watch leading into Avengers 2!

Well, I'd hate to be the guy informing DC that thier mistreatment of Joss Whedon has now come full-circle.

The sequel would have been enough, but now you're gonna have the guy who made Buffy and Angel a success for a combined 12 seasons bring the Marvel universe to the TV world? 

There could not have been better news for comic/marvel/action movie fans today!
