I really wonder how DC and the WW movie idea sit after all the $$$ of Avengers, I can only imagine whoever turned him down as a director is FIRED trump style by now.
Complaining about doing another one's work? So what...do one for them one for you is the standard I thought?

I have to say Marvel is doing everything right. All they need is to get their characters back before other studios keep making messes out of them. DD is looking good to return. FF, maybe. Spidey, maybe if Sony takes a hit. X-men is the only one that's probably a no-no.
As for Whedon producing a a TV show,. Hell yeah! How many times this guy has been screwed over by Fox? I'm guessing ABC/Disney will give him absolute power. Joss is sitting on a high seat now and chances are his TV show will be given great oportunities. Since Joss is directing and writing Avengers 2, I'm 100% sure the TV show will have tie-ins to the movie. I wouldn' be surprised if he had the clout to convince some of his cast members to have a special guest appearance in an episode. Imagine RDJ showing up as Stark? even have Fury or Maria Hill show up. Would be cool.
Here is my suggestion for the TV show. Ms Marvel. Whedon likes strong female leads. Why not? Plus her origin is a tad complicated (getting her powers through Captain Marvel), so that can be done/explained in a full season. Maybe introduce Mar-vell and Carol Danvers as the main characters of the show only to kill off Mar-vell at the end of season 1 (Whedon likes to kill regulars). Ms Marvel has fought a lot of Cap's villains in the past so I see no reason to have her in.
I'm sure Big D sweetened the pot not just with money but with deals to develop his own projects for them.
Maybe Buffy will show up, too.
For sure Eliza Dushku has a job in the TV series.
