Mania Review: Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (Article) - 10/26/2012 11:09:19 PM

Yeah, I'm to sure about the grades lately.  Back when 'Cabin in the Woods' got an 'A', I went to see it and agreed wholeheartedly.  Most of the movies I saw after I also agreed with until 'Taken 2'.  I thought that was at least a 'B', not a 'C'.  So that makes me think this one is a 'C', not a 'D'.  I usually stay away from stuff I see that gets real bad grades like this, but I can't help but think some flicks are getting bad raps...

Singer Confirms DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (Article) - 8/3/2012 10:58:56 PM

Other then the obvious mutants who exist in present vs. the 60s and The White Queen's blunder from 'Wolverine' to First Class, I look at the continuity this way:

How many times has Charles been in and out of the chair in the comics?  It's feasible he could have walked to find Jean in 'X-men: Last Stand' and been back in the chair.  Logan's old, no mess there.  Things will never be perfect in a comic book movie as the story has to be updated if your dealing with something that happened in the 60s (Green Goblin/Gwen Stacy, Avenger's finding Cap, etc.).  And some superheroes, like Wolverine, who weren't on the original team but became favorites after their introduction will be added to old storylines.  Like Venom or Carnage...

The latest Batman took the helicopter death of Bats and incorporated it in a cool way.  Supes is following his comic storyline with finding himself (and his new costume design) in his new movie.  Singer will probably do the same.

Mania Review: Total Recall (Article) - 8/3/2012 8:27:55 PM

I felt 'Fright Night' was lackluster and not enough David Tennant (as the original's Roddy had a much bigger role).  I was afraid 'Total Recall' would head in that direction, but Biel and Beckinsdale and the effects had me a little more excited then I when I first heard about this remake.  Now I know to just rent Arnold and Verhoeven's again.

Makes me afraid to find out what 'Robocop' is gonna end up being...

Editorial: The Aurora Massacre (Article) - 7/20/2012 10:38:28 PM

The first thing my dad said was, "More lives lost to the Joker..." referring to Heath's untimely death.  He just doesn't get it.  To him, it's always about heavy metal, violent TV, or (in this case) Batman.

It's not about Batman.  It's about evil and monsters that live in this world.  This editorial summed it up nicely.  And Jawbreaking, he's a diehard Christian, so I'm with you.  They forget what their religion's past is based on... blood.  I apologize to those Christians who understand their religion for what it is and can be and not be blinded by it.  I don't want to offend, I'm just explaining the person my father has become...

It's not about Batman... or the Joker.  Son of Sam said it was his dog.  It doesn't matter what inspired this sicko, it's that he let the evil overcome him.

Silliest Batman Gadgets (Article) - 7/18/2012 8:26:20 PM

Ah, Bat Shark Repellant.  LMAO at that.  Only thing funnier from that movie was: "Thank heavens for that foam rubber sale, Robin!"

007 Legends - On Her Majesty's Secret Service Mission Trailer (Article) - 7/12/2012 8:46:54 PM

Never thought I'd say this, but...  it's not OHMSS without Lazenby *shudder*.  Looks cool, tho...  You know, with all the hubbub about him, Lazenby wasn't all that bad.

Doctor Who Premiere Episode Revealed (Article) - 6/27/2012 1:20:12 AM

I'm with Kara1.  Always the Daleks.  But, I love Who, and I'll certainly enjoy the new season, though I fear I shall shed a tear for Ms. Pond...
