More of these, with other movies, need to be made. People forget after twenty or so years the blood, sweat and tears that went into a movie soundtrack. You know, before you just got a few bands to record music and slapped 'soundtrack' on it? Some movies today still have a memorable classical soundtrack, but honestly, can you hum the 'Incredible Hulk' or 'Transformers' movie theme like 'Star Wars' or 'Indiana Jones'? Point is, music is important to a movie. It's half or more of the emotional involvement. A lot of people don't get that and we need to make sure they do...
Geez, I thought it wouldn't be great judging by the previews, but a 'D'? Guess I'll avoid this one like the plague...
I immediately thought of 'Jericho'. I think if this had an actor or actress I was really into I might be more interested. I'll see what critics think first...
@Higgy: Totally agree. Would have liked more reptilian features like in the comics. @aegrant: Pete and Curt Connors (aka the Lizard) are actually good friends. But, I don't remember Lizard knowing Spidey's identity. Been twenty years since I've read a Spidey comic (after the Clone Saga debacle), so I may have missed something. But you're right, it seems every villain seems to find out Pete's Spidey...
I'm with InnerSanctum and jedibanner, too. I like Mel. Let's hope Machete Kills is better... and cheesier... then it's prequel.
I saw the trailer and thought this looked different, but reserved it for a Netflix rental. Now... it's a toss up between Luc Besson's 'Lockup' (I love that guy) or 'The Cabin in the Woods'. May be time for a matinee double feature :D
This just makes me want to read Philip K. Dick's stories even more. Problem is, everytime I search for a collection it doesn't have the stories I'm looking for...

Mikemc2, after 'Civil War' and 'Secret Invasion', Norman Osborne had managed to pull a Lex Luthor. Osborne reformed SHEILD as HAMMER and formed his own 'Dark Avengers'. There was the Iron Patriot (Iron Man), Wolverine's son Daken, Moonstone (disguised as Ms. Marvel), Mac Gargan's Venom (given a serum to shrink down to Spiderman size), Sentry, and Bullseye (as Hawkeye). Basically the Thunderbolts posing as heroes...
Since Osborne is a Spidey villain and currently under Sony property (and most likely the secret villain behind the Lizard from what I've seen in the 'Amazing Spiderman' trailer), Iron Patriot can't be him for legal reasons. So, I imagine since Mandarin is some terrorist who passes out rings to his croney's to show there in his group (from 'Iron Man' the movie), instead of the Chinese super villain who collects ten magic rings, Iron Patriot is probable his plan as a replacement for Stark. That's my opinion, though...
Wikipedia Iron Patriot and Dark Avengers. It'll give you the whole plot.
