WildStorm Productions group editor Scott Dunbier says that he hopes to get TOM STRONG, ASTRO CITY and PLANETARY published on a bi-monthly schedule next year.
To that end, Jerry Ordway will be drawing three issues of TOM STRONG. Ordway is wrapping up his work on JLA/PLANETARY: TERRA OCCULTA. Dunbier called Ordway's work on that project "the best he's done in years."
Dunbier says that creator/writer Kurt Busiek turned in an ASTRO CITY script last month. "We need one more to get to three and the point where we can solicit it," he says.
John Cassaday, who is working on Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA as well as the Stan Lee version of Crisis for DC, will be the only artist for The Planetary and presumably will resume work on the series once the other projects are completed.
"We have a lot of scripts for John Cassaday," Dunbier says. "I spoke to John, and he's committed to the book."
