Given Will Smith's superstar status across the globe, it seems clear the actor will never run short of acting opportunities. That being the case, Variety reports that Smith is currently debating his next project and both are fantasies. One option is a return to a franchise which helped place him on the map so long ago by way of returning to lead Columbia Pictures' Men in Black 3.
The other option that Smith is debating is 20th Century Fox's fantasy The City That Sailed, which has been developed under the actor's production shingle Overbrook Films.
Plot Concept: The story follows a New York City street magician whose daughter, because of family circumstances, lives in England. In exploring a lighthouse one day, the girl discovers a room with magic candles and wishes to be reunited with her father, causing the island of Manhattan to break away and drift across the Pond.

Skip both I say. There has to be better stuff out there for Smith but if push come to shove MIB gets my vote
I'd like to see Smith play one of Marvel's superheroes but he's to expensive for the house of ideas. Maybe something from the DCU, maybe Black Lightning. Anything but that hancock bullshit
I liked the animated MIB series better than MIB2 which was crap. I hope that he passes on MIB3. It's time to reboot MIB with new blood.

The ship has sailed on MIB. In terms of a superhero character Will Smith's price is too high to play just about anyone. I can't see him being "The Falcon" or anyone like that.
Just a few weeks ago they reported that Josh Brolin and an entirely new cast were leading Men In Black 3. Now they say Will Smith may return again? Well, I hope they make up there minds on this.
And I want to see a new Men In Black just as much as I want a new Ghostbusters film. Yes, MIB2 was lousy, but they can bring it back to greatness with a third installment. They made the mistake of retreading exactly what they did in the first movie, making it shitty. And not to mention Lara Flynn Boyle's villain was just dumb. So yes, make MIB3.
They could do a film version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air that reunites the whole family and Smith can pass the torch to his son in the ways of being raised in Philly and then moving to his auntie and uncle's place in Bel-Air to freeload for about six years.

I think he should do both... MIB3 for a July 4th Release and TCTS for the holiday season. The latter sounds very family oriented. But, I bet he will have his daughter star in the latter and do MIB3.
