20th Century Fox has signed Robin Williams to play Theodore Roosevelt in NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM. He joins a cast which includes Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Kim Raver, Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke and Bill Cobbs.

In the film, a night watchman, played by Stiller, at a museum of natural history discovers that its many exhibits awaken at night under the spell of a pharaoh's tablet. The exhibit of President Roosevelt, who founded the American Museum of Natural History in New York, is one of those that comes to life.

Man, WIlliams must be desparate for work or something.

No Vince Vaughn, no Will Farrell, no Owen Wilson, Come on Stiller, you need to cut your buddies in on this award winning action.

I might actually go see this now.....

All of those you listed are fine, they're funny. I have no idea how Ben Stiller keeps finding work. He is not funny. He is at his very best when he is a secondary character. When Stiller is a leading man, the movie is more embarrassing than funny. Williams on the other hand... comic genius.

I remember Williams playing Popeye when I was a kid, that was a great movie back then.

Williams was really good in that... my only problem was that he spoke so much like Popeye that it got really hard to understand him, but he was perfect.

Ditto to him being genius.

I don't know, for some reason I can't even stand to watch Williams being interviewed. He seems to always feel he needs to be "on", and never seems to be serious. I like some of his films, mostly the more serious ones but I hate watching his stand up. But, if he wasn't considered great by the masses, he wouldn't be where he is today.

Hate to be Mr. Obvious but don't all comics, actors, models, artists, etc. get where they are today because they are "great by the masses"? How else would they find work?

*they are considered

Owen Wilson sucks. Period. Will Farell is ok in a secondary role like Old School. Stiller is always worth watching and has a broader range - just like Robin Williams - than peple give him credit for. I will see this movie and I for one am glad Owen Wilson is not in it.

I like Williams' comedy as much as Howie Mandel's. And I hate Howie Mandel's comedy.

Robin Williams was great in Dead Poets, One Hour Photo, and Good Will Hunting, and pretty good in Insomnia.

All playing it pretty to very serious.
