On Set Photos Emerge

By Robert T. Trate     June 04, 2013
Source: has posted some new on set photos from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There are several that are just plain boring but, these two show off the Winter Solider (Sebastian Stan). What do you think Maniacs? The film is already less than a year away. Hopefully, we will see some footage surface at Comic Con.

Synopsis: Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.

Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” features an outstanding supporting cast that includes Sebastian Stan (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Black Swan”) as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker,” “Million Dollar Baby”) as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Cobie Smulders (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “How I Met Your Mother”) as Agent Maria Hill, Frank Grillo (“Zero Dark Thirty”) as Brock Rumlow and Georges St-Pierre (“Death Warrior”) as Georges Batroc. Rounding out the talented cast are Hayley Atwell (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) as Peggy Carter, Toby Jones (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Hunger Games”) as Arnim Zola, Emily VanCamp (“The Ring 2,” “Revenge”) as Agent 13 and Maximiliano Hernández (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Thor”) as Agent Jasper Sitwell.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for release in the U.S. on April 4, 2014.

Cool. Exactly like the comics. Though his arm looks more like a sleeve than robotic. Weird. It's like deja vu seeing the real life pics. Almost can swear I've see them before. But I know I didn't.

 Never mind. It looks cybernetic.

I think the combination face mask goggle looks better than the domino mask does in the comics.

They have been fiming here in Cleveland for 2 weeks with at least another 2 weeks to go (probably more). Everybody has been in town for filming - Cap, Fury and Widow have all fimed a few scenes.

Go to clevelandDOTcom they have a blog with a bunch of photos from the sets (hey Robert, I sent Mania that link weeks ago)

YES!!  He looks GREAT!!  Why isn't it April 14, 2014 yet?!?!?!

And thanks for the link, Aegrant!

Yeah seen this some time back. Still I think they look great. Saw some video of car pursuits and WS pulling a car door off its hinges.

Cap and GOTG along with ASM2 will make me a happy man next year. Hopefully DOFP can add to my joy

Cap 2 continues to impress and I'm liking what I see so far!

axia777 6/4/2013 8:57:07 AM

Bad ass.  I aproove 100%.  This movie is going to be awesome.  I like Cap more than most of the more recent Marvel movies.  certainly more than Iron Man 2 or even Thor.

Batroc?  Please be in costume, please be in costume.

And Zola?  I wonder how they'll handle him.

redvector 6/4/2013 10:21:34 AM

Yeah I'm interested to see how Zola is used too. Near the end of the first movie he was in custody and being questioned. They'll likely have a flashback to him escaping custody somehow, maybe by sleeper Hydra agents in the US gov. Or like most of ex-Nazi scientists he winds up working for the gov. post WW2. It was implied in Avengers that much of Shield tech was based on Hydra designs. Reverse engineered and adapted by Howard Stark and maybe Zola himself?
