I've read a lot of reviews that are cut and paste from other critics so it's easy to see what's going on here, even Rob has some lines in his review that I read somewhere else first so you know these guys are reading eachother's shit and borrowing from who they want to sound like. Every year we see them gang up on a movie unfairly, I hope this movie destroys at the box office, that's always a good way to answer critics and negative fans who go beyond critical reviews and get downright childish and ignorant.
I loved this movie and I can't wait to see it again!
The critics got it so wrong on this one
It's EXCELLENT!
It's the best Superman movie ever made, best Superman anything!! I don't know what the critics wanted in a Superman movie but I'm pretty sure it's different from what the real fans want, I know I got way more than I could have ever hoped for.
Some tight asses on this site would benefit from hitting "the pot" a little here and there ;)
This looks like the best hope for decent comedy this summer, apparantly there aren't very many laughs in the upcoming slate of blockbusters, one of the biggest knocks against MoS so far is it's lack of joy or humour. I have faith in RIPD though, that should be pretty funny.
I'm likely to see this on the weekend at some point. I also rarely ever see comedies in theatres, but this one has my whole gang of peeps wanting to see it.
Fuck yeah AVENGERS WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
alien vs predator vs wookies vs jedi
that's what i want to see
yeah not casting news, plot news, and probably not far from true, I can't see anyone but Organa-Solo or Skywalker kids being the leads in this new series, the whole thing is about the Skywalker bloodline.
I don't think it's too early for news like this if they plan to start production in the beginning of 2014, only 6 months away. And you'd think it would have to be January if they want to release it the following summer, I mean......it still takes a long time to make a movie, especially a Star Wars movie!
For any of you cinematic score buffs out there, Hans Zimmer released the Man of Steel soundtrack today and it's fantastic! It's what we've come to expect from Hans, a brilliant mix of synthesizers and organic orchestral intruments to truly modernize the sound. Lots of emotion on this one, you can practicaly feel the wind as you listen to some of the passeges and imagine supes flying through the clouds! It's some of his best work in my opinion! I know some people will mock the thunderous percussion which has become a trademark of his, but it's used to perfect effect here, and some of the behind the scenes info on how it was recorded is pretty interesting, particularily how he spoke of assembling the best drummers in the world and having them all pound out beats at the same time. We're talking Danny Carey of tool, Josh Freeze from NIN and many other projects and about 100 more famous and not so famous names.
cool shit
HAHA, I love "Hater logic" it can render the rules of math obsolete in one passion filled rant! Man, some dudes just seem so angry about this shit, it's supposed to be entertainment!
whatever, I'm excited about this film and every DC character who might get a film as a result, unified universe or not. No amount of Nolan/Snyder bashing or debates about who's better than who can change that for me. I'm one of the lucky billions who were able to really enjoy Nolan's films, and I happen to have an equal amount of love for everything Zack Snyder has done too, including Suckerpunch. I'm glad I'm not someone who can't enjoy movies like that cuz now I'm pretty damn confident that this Man Of Steel film will be just what I always wanted in a superman movie!
After 3 hugely successful Batman movies and a Superman film that looks to hit some high numbers in the next few weeks I'd hardly say DC is lacking or behind in any way.
Craig was signed on to these back around the release of Skyfall, he signed for 2 more. A director was really all they were lacking to get the next one rolling, they want it on screens by next fall.
It'll be a lot easier to predict its totals after it's begun showing in theatres, cuz lets be honest here, if it's a smash hit beyond expectations it'll cross a billion pretty fast! It looks good enough by trailers alone to say at least 400 domestic but I think it'll bust a billion globally. If it's actually a really good movie, it may even go further. It looks like from early reviews that this thing is the real deal. We'll all know in a week.

Zack Snyder is a comic book fan, Watchmen, Suckerpunch and now Man of Steel are all comic book style movies and I happen to think they are all great films! I'm certainly happy with his work, but if I wasn't I wouldn't say it's because I'm more of a comic book fan than he is.
I'm getting that his is hit and miss, but maybe its because you'll never make a Superman film that pleases everyone. Half the audience wants the campy primarly color version from the 50's-70's and the other half wants what we have currently running in theatres. Obviously it's not so cut and dry 50/50 with lots wanting something in between or different all together but the result is the same. As long as it makes enough money then those of us who love this new version will keep getting it for a little while longer.
