Schwarzenegger's Next Move (Article) - 1/18/2011 9:22:11 AM

Crusade was said to be a paul verhoeven project which had Arnie playing an austrian duke that slays 9,000 scotts in 40mins of battle.  That's assuming I was reading the right synopsis  over a decade ago when this was more relevant.  A sequel to true lies might be the only thing I would welcome from him, as long as Jim Cameron was involved.  Unless he gets tips from Stallone to help him get back into form I don't think a return to film would be anything but embarrassing for someone who's history is so important to action movies.  Steven Segal is proof that you can't just keep making movies while letting your body go to shit and expect people to buy it.

Mania Review: Season of the Witch (Article) - 1/7/2011 6:27:10 AM

I have no doubt that this review is 100% accurate!  I'm sorry you had to see more than the trailer to write it!!  Nic Cage used to be a favorite of mine, the last decade has been a real disaster for him.  The National Treasure movies, Adaptation and Next were his best efforts in my opinion, but his cons list is way longer.  This guy needs a big comeback role............are you getting this Tarantino?

The A-Team Extended Cut Blu-Ray Review (Article) - 12/31/2010 9:04:15 AM

I don't feel this film is worthy of negative review, especially on this site!  For the type of film it is I'm not expecting expert shooting, but I also didn't think it was bad enough to mention.  The review sounds too much to me like reasons why you didn't like it and not really reasons that it's a weak film.  It made almost 70million in profit and that is a lot of money, and it is the only measureable way besides personal opinions that we have to determine whether a film is good or not.  I hear that all the time from people "just because it made a lot of money doesn't mean it's good"  And really it's the only objective way to determine if something is good in the entertainment industry.  I prefer to say "Just because it made a lot of money doesn't mean "I" should like it".  I try not to let my opinions and personal beliefs sound as if they are widely recognized and authoritative facts.  No disrespect or offense is intended by this.

The A-Team Extended Cut Blu-Ray Review (Article) - 12/30/2010 9:34:10 AM

It's too easy to make an opinion of a film appear as a bad review.  I'm sure the reason why people like Chris Nolan and David Fincher aren't making these movies is because they can only be a certain level of film.  And for the level of film this particular movie lies in it was perfect.  It was very funny, fast paced with good though predictable action and very enjoyable characters played by very talented actors.  Some of the points you list such as the chance meeting in the dessert and opening escape scene being silly and unlikely..........well.............name a film where that doesn't happen.......seriously, isn't that what most films are?  A moment in time where things seem to all go a certain way resulting in.......one hell of a story!  Hard to believe, but it really did happen!!!  that kind of stuff, why act surprised?  If you don't like the film it's fine to say so and even better if you have reasons but don't try to pass it off as being flaws in a film.  It made lots of money and has lots of fans, it would be ignorant and irrational to say that it was as unsuccessfull as your review implies.

TRON: Legacy Movie Review (Article) - 12/6/2010 5:37:35 AM

One of the best reviews I have ever read, giving two perspectives that both have valid points, I wish more reviewers would pick up on a style like this!  Films are often made with many people in mind, it's good to see someone's assesment that recognizes that!

8 Worst Native American Portrayals in Pop Culture (Article) - 11/25/2010 11:33:08 AM

maybe you'd all be happier with a more accurate portrayal of how they really are?  Dirty, drunk, toothless and living on reserve land with government handouts and lawns full of trash and beat-up cars?  See how bad a person can make it  look?  Every culture on earth can be stereotyped so who cares?  I wish aliens would show up already and make us all realise that in order for racism to exist, you actually need different  races.  We are all human, one race with different sub-species.  But I guess most humans aren't happy unless they have something to cry about, get some attention or whatever.......I dunno......I wish Dave Chappelle was still making it  funny, cause thats all it should be at this point.

WALKING DEAD - 1.1 - "Days Gone Bye" Review (Article) - 11/1/2010 9:30:39 PM

A perfect introduction to a great idea for a show!!!  Perfect review.

Colin Farrell Circles TOTAL RECALL (Article) - 10/23/2010 2:48:50 PM

I view remakes these days the same way I've always viewed cover songs........some have been great and some are shameless abominations.  If I think it'll be good, I'll see it and won't reserve too much judgement until then.......or at least I'll try.....I want good films from both Len Wiseman and Colin Farrell.
