In an official statement from the producers of WITCHBLADE regarding the second season of the series, the production has undergone a temporary halt in shooting because "series star Yancy Butler has voluntarily checked herself into a rehabilitation center for alcohol treatment. We wish her all the best."
The show, based on the comic book about a woman with a supernatural and eminently cool glove that helps her battle evil, returns for its second season on TNT June 16. Six episodes for the new season were shot before shooting closed down. It is not yet known when it will begin again.
