Fans of the 'Witchblade' TV series, which ran on the TNT cable network starting in 2000, can take heart. A DVD collecting the series appears to be in the works.
The official website for actor Anthony Cistaro, who played the villainous Kenneth Irons on the show, has posted an interesting tidbit.
A January 10th the site posted: " Anthony will be filming interviews next week for the long awaited Witchblade DVD! Not sure yet if if will be the complete series."
Yancy Butler starred in two seasons of the series, which provided a decidedly low-budget, but gritty and urban look at the Top Cow character. Director Ralph Hemecker did a commendable job of crafting a distinct visual style for the show, in the face of a shoe-string budget.
The series was critically acclaimed and scored well with audiences, but quickly ran aground with rumor placing blame on Butler's erratic behavior off camera.
