wll.i.am, Reynolds, Kitsch confirmed for 'Wolverine'

Variety confirms much of the recent casting rumors and buzz surrounding 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'. The trade journal reports that Ryan Reynolds ('Definitely, Maybe'), Taylor Kitsch ('Friday Night Lights') and hip hop artist will.i.am have joined the film as Deadpool, Gambit and Wraith respectively.

They further confirm that Liev Schreiber is on board as Sabretooth, Danny Huston is playing William Stryker and Lynn Collins is set as Silver Fox.

Variety's article also echos what we suggested in yesterday's report, that this movie may serve as a spring-board for 'Deadpool' and 'Gambit' features.

'Wolverine' is due in theaters May 1 of 2009.
