Wolverine Comiquette

By: News Editor
Date: Thursday, February 16, 2006

Sideshow Collectibles is taking pre-orders for the Wolverine Comiquette.

The figure is an intricate sculpture of Logan in his classic yellow tiger stripe costume, standing 15" tall atop an X-themed base, claws extended and battle ready, with a fierce snarling expression. Each piece is hand cast and hand finished to exacting standards.

The Sideshow Exclusive version of the Wolverine Comiquette includes a unique unmasked Wolverine portrait, which is interchangeable with the masked head.

The limited edition figure (500) will ship in the third quarter of 2006. The MSR is $189.99.

[sobbing]: I'm so happy, that I'm working so much overtime. This and the iron man figure, are gonna be MINE!!!!!

Looks great! I have to agree with lofteelee that the iron man figure is probably one of their best. Bring on the overtime :)

It looks $50 good, but not $189.99 Good...

Then go to Wal Mart and buy a plastic one. You aren't going to get a hand painted polystone statue with tailored clothing for 50.00.

• Feb 16, 2006, 10:58am •
tailored clothing? I saw no mention of that.

• Feb 16, 2006, 11:24am •
Maybe this one has sculpted clothing, I don't know. The Elektra and Spiderman they did in the same series have real cloth clothing, so I can only assume.
I tried to check Sideshowtoy.com and thier section on Toyfare previews is being updated, so I couldn't confirm whether this one had cloth clothing or not.

Regardless, you'd be lucky to buy a set of porcelain dishes for under 200 bucks, so to charge that for a limited release statue is well within reason. These aren't made or priced for casual fans. There's an entire ocean of cheaply made mass market stuff made for people who don't want to spend much.
It's pretty cool, but I'm much more interested in the stuff they're distributing for Medicom.

Nope, definitely sculpted, not cloth. My bad. Too much international Toyfare Coverage. The Medicom figure also has an alternate head, and has cloth clothing, but it's a high end action figure, not a statue.

lofteelee1 go to sideshowtoy.com and check out the preorders for the sixth scale Marvel figures that Sideshow is distributing from Medicom of Japan. They're about $115 each, but they blow the Marvel Studios figures out of the water. The Spiderman, and Carnage are especially impressive.

with this baby proudly displayed on the coffee table youre sure to score all the ladies, "OWWWWRRRIGHT"

• Feb 16, 2006, 12:23pm •
Don't need to score ladies, I already have one. Some women actually like comics, but let's continue to further the stereotype that people who like comics don't get laid. How very progressive of you.
