WOLVERINE Getting a Rewrite?

By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor

The upcoming WOLVERINE prequel may be getting some revisions in its script treatment if you believe IGN's sources. The site has reported that Fox is bringing in scribe Skip Woods (who just completed another Fox project, HITMAN) to revise some of David Benioff's screenplay. Production is still set to begin in Australia in November. Gavin Hood is handling the directing and Hugh Jackman stars in this early adventure of Logan's pre-Xmen days.

WOLVERINE hits theaters sometime in 2008.

Recast??? Okay... I'll bite. Just who exactly do you think should replace Jackman?

Although I've enjoyed the X-Men movies, seeing the characters come to life on the big screen, I just can't get excited about a solo Wolverine movie.

As much as I love Wolverine in the comics I just can't see this being a success. If it was done right it would be an "R" movie and we know that's not happening for the "sake of the kid dollars"

F that early days crap. I want to see a continuation of him after Xmen 3. I don't want no early days stuff.

I prob wont see this if he's pre xmen. I rather there some connection as a Xman out on his own doing his thing.

Oh, let it be post X3 - I'm not gonna see it anyway.

Bury the franchise more, deeper, into the crap!

this still has potential, although I question why the studio didnt have David Benioff rewrite his own script... why bring in the Hitman guy?

Alosso i worry about "too many cooks in the kitchen" too many writers, and too many rewrites makes for a sloppy mess... and thats not what we want.

i'll go see just cause i want to give my money away on almost any marvel character.. but if Gambit isn't in it it might change my mind..i've almost had it that he hasn't been in a single X-Men movie

Well i havent been into the comics scene in a while but the solo Wolverine comic was a pretty good seller a few years back.

i'm sure they have enough source material from those to make a good Wolverine movie or as you all know..they will probably ignore all those things that made him popular and try to *kiddie ize* him. (i know..not a word but all i can think of on 2 hours sleep)
