By Robert T. Trate     June 12, 2013
Source: CBMTrailers

Here is the second international trailer for The Wolverine. There is a ton of new footage here as well as a better understanding of the plot.

The Plot: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine features Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee.
The Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26th, 2013.

This film has won me over.

It's still the least of the big 4 superhero films but it's definitely moving in the right direction.

This trailer revealed pretty much what   some of us had assumed. The old man wants that healing factor for himself apparently.

And Wolverine needs to stop acting as if it's a burden being immortal. Makes me want to slap him across his  mutton chops

Looks better than the other trailers, but I'm still skeptical.  Origins had some cool trailers too.

How the heck to you pronounce "smrtnega"?

Defnintely looking better and better as we get more background.

This is looking better, but I'm still not entirely thrilled with it.  I'll wait and rent it.

Hey, Robert, where's our Man of Steel review?  I'm anxious to hear Rob Vaux's (or your) opinion on it.  My Father's Day depends on it, man!  ;)

I'm with you, Wise... Can the whole immortality thing as a nuisance bit. Wah... Logan ain't about to waste or whine about that shi.t, but it seems they sacrifice his grit in all these movies as if we need to sympathize. We don't want to understand our hero... the mystery is half the allure!

On a side note, I'd love a capt america/logan flick some day in the future akin to that jim lee classic from the late 80's... oh wait, will never happen as they're owned by diff studios... dam $$ grubbers...

What's up with the Silver Samurai?  He looks huge and more like a robot.

Wise; think about this way; Say your a sensitive brooding type person like Wolverine. Sure, he's tough and rough, but he's got emotional issues with what MST3K refers to as "Deep Hurting". Now, add immortality and an overpowering instinct to survive to the equation. The decades literally zip by for you, your family, your friends, your lovers, and any possible children (I don't think Wolvie has any) they all grow old and die. They never see you age. So you keep moving on every few years, never allowing anyone to know just how different you are, but mostly to avoid the hurt of inevitably losing everyone close to you. Most humans are social creatures, Wolverine, a mutant still retains that part of his humanity, and despite his deep hurt he is not one to become a hermit.
