Here is the Japanese trailer for The Wolverine. You have to appreciate the look here. The bright neon lights mixed with al the darkness. It sets a different tone. Then again, anything will be better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The Plot: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine features Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee.

The Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26th, 2013.

Still not fully sold on this. Looks interesting but, I don't know....that chinese chick looks so skinny it's ugly.

Wiseguy 4/23/2013 8:05:40 AM

I want this but it just doesn't excite the way the other major cbm's do

So they take away Wolverines healing factor ??? if so he would bleed out everytime he used his claws. Still looks like he will be stuck in the middle of what appears family feuds since they have sent ninjas to kill rival familys, as we know ninjas where hired for asasinations.

Agreed, that Asian chick (suppose to be Japanese Jedi, not Chinese), is ugly as hell.  Hope it's at least entertaining.

I didn't think she was ugly.  She may not be gorgeous, but definitely not ugly.  I wasn't thrilled by the idea of him losing his powers, but I'm still going to see this opening weekend.

lazarus 4/23/2013 2:44:47 PM

Well he loses his healing factor, not his powers. Remember he still has heightens senses and an unbreakable skeleton. But that shit looks like it HURTS when he got shot.

Speaking of X-men, have you guys seen the picture of Hale Berry as Storm? This is bugging me so I'm just gonna say it, why do the suits have to look like flight jump suits??? Why can't the Xmen just wake up one morning and be like, "you know what? I want a costume! Why? Cause I'm a freakin mutant with special powers and I just want a dang costume! so what!"

death4sale 4/23/2013 6:04:40 PM

I don't think she's full on ugly (apparently she's a model in Japan), but I do find her difficult to look at for more than a few seconds. There's just something odd about her face. Her head has an odd shape to it, she looks like a pear with eyes. I really want this film to be good. I can say I think it will be better than Origins. Mangold has shown he can do any genre, unfortunately FOX keeps hiring monkeys to write the scripts. The scene with Logan vs. Ninjas though looks sweet and will probably be better than the entire Origins film. I agree slightly with everyone about the healing factor being taken away, but every hero film needs to have some trial that test the hero's limits. Since Wolverine practically has no limits when his healing factor is in full gear, it makes some sense to strip of it.

horcruxx 4/24/2013 8:45:24 AM

Maybe not strip it more like supress it, because we know that at the end he will get it back in order to beat the Silver Samurai. But without it he will have to use his head when he fights and not go all out berserk because he can die now and that will test his limits, facing his own mortality.
