This makes my soul hurt.  I was so optimistic for this film (despite my better judgment).  My first instincts were right.

The Frank Miller/Chris Claremont storyline in Japan just got bastardized and shredded in order to make this square peg of a film fit into the round hole of suck-itude left gaping open in the already craptastic X-Film universe.  FML.

Wait until you see Singer's version of Days of Future Past. LOL!

Cap & ElBaz,

Why would you expect the extremely successful Fox X-verse movies would be completely ignored? It would be like Avengers 2 would totally pretend the first movie didn't happened because there are some fans who hated the first.

I thought yesterday's teaser gave me a better feel for the movie. This trailer kinda gives me a feel for the first Wolverine movie for some reason..... and that doesnt make me happy. I really really HATE movies where they take away someone's powers for half the movie. We're here to see Wolverine and his mutant powers damnit!! I dont give a crap what wimpy Wolverine can do!!! Oh god, i hope this is a good flick.

The train fight scene definitely brought back bad memories of Origins. Hopefully the rest of the CG won't be as bad.

I'll be there opening weekend :)

I've never liked when a hero's powers are taken away in a movie.  I feel like I'm being cheated.  Like I didn't pay my money to see some poor schlub get beat up after losing his powers a la Superman II (I fast forward through those parts).  I hope that's not how this turns out because I'd be very disappointed.  Then again, I never had the level of antici...pation that a lot of you have.

Haha, I posted my comment before reading yours, monkeyfoot.  Sounds like we're of the same mind.  I feel the same way.  I don't give a rat's ass about a weak, normal Wolverine.  It's bores me...

 My name is Violator. lol

So in the movie they're shutting down his healing factor but leaving the adamantium?  Not a good idea, they explored that path several times in the comics, Wolverines healing powers are essential in counteracting the negative effects of the adamantium bonding, such as when the claws pop out of the back of his hand, there aren't any openings for the claws, they literally cut through his skin.  More than that though the metal interferes with the skeletons ability to make new blood, without the Healing Logan would be dead from blood-poisoning within a week.  I'm going to assume that the movie won't get into such technical details though.

FerretJohn- I was totally gonna mention that but u beat me to it. But ya, Fox obviously doesnt know sh*t if they dont realize he'd die instantly of shock or something from the adamantium in his body if his healing factor disappeared..... DUH FOX!!
