Wonder Woman Pilot Director Almost Finalized

While there was a lot of interest and hope in a Wonder Woman series, there have been a few hits to it as well that have made fans question it. While NBC continues to roll forward with the David E. Kelley version of the character, speculation has been growing about who would direct the pilot since it could set the stage for things to come rather well. McG has been considered a favorite for awhile, but Deadline is now reporting that it looks like Jeffrey Reiner is close to finishing the deal that will have him on board for it. Reiner has some solid credits behind him as he's done three pilots that went to full series (Trauma, The Event and Caprica) and he's worked as a director and co-exec producer on Friday Night Lights when the show started out on NBC as well.

I still liked the idea of McG better. Time will tell I guess but I'm feeling a bit tepid about this adaptation anyway

Wow all of those shows may have went to series but they still sucked. I dont have high hopes for this.

This will be the new Smallville.  Only with more CW drama and less of those occasional episodes that don't suck.

Yes, all three shows he did pilots for sucked as series but none were comedies so there's that, right?

Anyway, Boston Legal is one of my favorite shows of all time  so I have faith the show won't suck.  My fear is it'll actually be good but no one will give it time to find it's audience...

I would love to see Jamie Murray as Wonder Woman.

I love David E. Kelly's shows. Except Harry's Law. It`'s a little too over done. Almost like Kelley is doing too much of what he's done in the past. But, I'm sure the show will find it's own identity. Kelley is too good to make that mistake in the long term. And, that's why I'm willing to give Wonder McBeale a chance. It could be really good. Like Green Hornet, not a version of the character I wanted to see, but enjoyable on it's own merrits.

Really?  You don't care for Harry's Law?  Of all the David E. Kelley shows, I really don't care for Ally McBeal.  I think Harry's Law has got the drama of The Practice and the comedy of Boston Legal...I'm really enjoying it so far.

Anyhow, I would like to have faith in his ability to do a Wonder Woman TV show, but from the descriptions I've read, I'm really not sure about it.  I'll give it a fair shake though.

I hope they add in the invisible plane and she is using the bathroom while superman flys up and starts talking to her. Family Guy showed that it would be awesome in real tv

NBC will never keep a series like this around for long
