Sega Sports announced today the relese of WORLD SERIES BASEBALL 2K2, the newest sports title for the Sega Dreamcast.

Produced by Visual Concepts, the creators of the best-selling titles NBA 2K1 and NFL 2K1, WORLD SERIES BASEBALL 2K2 includes an all new game-play style, with a complete fielding mode and the ability to play across the internet. "Sega Sports WORLD SERIES BASEBALL 2K2 is a whole new ballgame!" said Joe Culley, vice president of marketing, Sega of America. "We listened to Sega Sports fans when they asked for fielding control and online play. This game will have video game enthusiasts begging for extra innings."

Two time Cy Young award winner Pedro Martinez endorses the franchise once more, and San Francisco Giants announcer Ted Robinson delivers the color commentary to the game.
