Looks like Sam Worthington may have another project on the horizon beyond the half dozen he's already attached to. Variety reports the actor is set to appear in a murder mystery by the name of Texas Killing Fields. Ami Canaan Mann will direct from a screenplay by Donald F. Ferrarone and production is expected to begin in April in Louisiana.

Plot Concept: The film focuses on the true story of a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides -- totaling as many as 60 victims -- in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries. Sam Worthington will portray a local homicide detective who works with a New York transplant to wage a war against the unknown but fierce killers.

Can't wait to hear Worthington's Texas accent.

Maybe he'll have a slight Aussie accent, but raised in Texas so he'll have the twang also.  If he is really serious about doing dramatic roles where accents are involved, he should work on that.

Hey, Sean Connery used his Scottish accent in every movie he was in, no matter if the character was American, Egyptian, Spanish, or British... or all four. :P Same goes for Arnold Schwarzenegger, but at least they've had the courtesy to offer up an occasional explanation as to why he would be American and have an Austrian accent. This is true for Jean Claude Van Damme in his movies, as well.

This sounds like an interesting movie.
