A few days after Empire Magazine premiered the first photo of Sam Worthington wearing the duds of the heroic Perseus, Warner Bros. Pictures has passed along two hi-res shots for their remake Clash of the Titans. You can check out both photos of Worthington wearing his outfit by clicking on the photo below.

The upcoming remake of the classic stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Danny Huston, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Jason Flemyng, Alexa Davalos, Nicholas Hoult, Izabella Miko and Pete Postlethwaite. Director Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk) led the WB production, based on a screenplay by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. Production is underway in hopes of getting into theaters by next March.

Plot Concept: The story centers on the ultimate struggle for power which pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Clash of the Titans will hit theaters March 26, 2010.

Kinda what I thought, that second pic looks very 300 inspired. The next pic I wanna see is one of the creatures or at least a hot goddess in a tight fitting toga...

I vote for the hot goddess in a tight fitting toga!

It should look a bit like 300. It's already been said that Letterier would use a lot of the same techniques as 300, including a lot of "green screen" stuff. I love the look, really looking forward to this. Worthington definitely looks like he's bringing the role a lot of grit

The first pic looks like he is in Medusa's lair

Looking good, and I'm getting forward.

I want to see pics of Bubo. Its not Clash of the Titans without a ridiculous golden owl.

From what you can see in the pics, the sword looks a lot like the sword from the original. The shield looks a bit different. Wonder if they'll still be gifts from the gods, or if that's changed, too. Which, of course, also brings up the subject of Bubo....

I am getting psyched for this now. Looks like cheese will not be on the menu. I can't wait to see a trailer.

The outfit is at least more historically accurate. The original set the myth in classical Greece. This looks more properly "Homeric" than the original -- especially the sword and shield. I wonder what the other characters look like. I wonder Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes look like as Olympian Gods.
