As a 'teenager' I hated Carousel, it just looked silly, even back in 76/77 when I first saw it. I still get a twinge of embarrasment watching it now.
The true horror of Nolan's book was that there was no where to run. No city to escape from, except a lucky few. The whole world was locked into this youth death cult. Citizens went willingly to the state enforced euthanasia Sleepshops. It was the ultimate extention of the 'live fast and die young' ethos.
The result of such a waste of the human potential was that their society was stagnating, in a terminal state decay and it was ultimately doomed even without the events Logan's actions put into play.
I'd look forward to a much closer adaption of Nolan's book than what was filmed 37 years ago, but I'll not be holding my breath on it happening before I hit my third Lastday.
A great movie.
I wonder if anything from the newly discovered Anthony Coburn documents was used?
...To the last, I grapple with thee; from hell's heart, I stab at thee; for hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.
I think I prefer Khan's Moby Dick to Chang's Shakespeare.
FIFA D2.
No mention of Neil Gaiman in the write up?
Another 65 million year wait.
Ray was one of my heroes of movie making. Sad, sad news indeed. Like O'Brien and Co's classics, your work will live on in our hearts, minds and screens.
I think they completely killed off the original cybes back in JN-T's days so new DW has no current connection to them. It is clear that there is sufficient difference between the Cybus cybes and the original lot.
This new lot in the second part of the trailer doesn't seem to have the Cybus C on their chests. Just an Iron Man style glowy disc/bulb.

I hope the next set of screenwriters realise you can run left or right as well as straight a head.
