It will be great if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s next show, Agent Carter are on at different times during the broadcast season. So when one ends the other begins. At the same time (season) might be over kill, despite them being in set in different decades. Anyway, Marvel Studios has released the official synopsis and poster for the upcoming series. Marvel’s Agent Carter will premiere sometime in the 2014-2015 season. That first season is said to be somewhere between 10 or 13 episodes long. Check out he synopsis below.

Synopsis: “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.”

Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, “Marvel’s Agent Carter” is executive produced by Christopher Markus, Steve McFeely, Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Jeph Loeb.

While I'm not sure this show can carry my interest for a full series run I do think it would be cool to add some historical background to the Marvel Universe. Perhaps the begining of Hydra's corrupting infulences.

I'll give this show a shot; glad I stuck with AoS because they finally have hit their stride.

I don't know why I'm gettin a downtom abbey kind of feel to this. I just hope they show the detail of that era because that's what really makes those kinds of old school shows. I am excited about tony Starks father being in it. Should be fun or a decent filler for in between movies and MAOS while on break.

It's too bad Marvel doesn't have any superheroes they could make a TV show about.  I mean sure, Peggy Carter Agent of Pre-SHIELD is an iconic comic book but if Marvel had any colorful characters with super powers I bet that might make for an entertaining show.  Oh well.

I am cool with this. Will Papa Stark be in it? That would be fun. He could be develping gadgets and Carter and some other old school Marvel people could be in this. I would like to see some "Big Name" good and bad guys part of it.

perhaps we can see some further adventures of the howling commandos, I for one would like to see them do baron blood storyline.

The plan is that when Shield is done then Carter will start up in the same timeslot.

Wonder if Bradley Whitford will reprise his role from the Marvel one-shot, but he's tied up with Trophy Wife right now.

Shogunn2517 5/11/2014 8:32:27 PM

Trophy Wife apparently didn't make the cut.  That being the case, he should be free.

Right now, the show's being imagined as a 13-episode single case focused on Agent Carter.  Dominic Cooper may guest star as Howard Stark,, Whitford could reprise his role and there are rumors that Derek Luke and Toby Jones will also be reprising their roles as Gabe Jones and Armin Zola respectively.  In addition, it wouldn't be out of the realm of expectation for Montgomery Falsworth to show up as UNION JACK at some point as well.

She's pretty low on the Marvel totem pole, still scratching my head why they want to this.  Lots of other characters to pick from that would be cheap to make.  Deadpool, Punisher would be easy.  Heck even Moon Knight.
