Here is the extended spot for the Pacific Rim titled “At the Edge”. It is the best Trailer/ TV spot yet.

Synopsis: From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures' Pacific Rim.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural
bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

The film features Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins Jr., and Diego Klattenhoff.
The Pacific Rim opens July 12th, 2013.

Probably said this half a dozen times already:  My most anticipated movie of the summer...

Mrwayne0 6/24/2013 10:55:35 PM

I just get more and more stoked for this everyday. I can't wait!

TheMovieGuy28 6/24/2013 11:06:26 PM

I predict this film will be something globally epic, in the same vein of appeal as the 'Fast & Furious' series. This truly could be the biggest film of the summer.

OMG everyone's excited. Well let me be the wet blanket in the room. I think this movie will underperform domestically and may even outright bomb.

They better hope this does gangbusters overseas.

Hopefully I'm wrong cause I like GDT and want him to get a shot at At the Mountains of Madness but I can't deny what my senses are seeing and feeling.

Guillermo rarely puts a foot wrong (if he even has).

This is going to be cracking good fun.

Guillermos movies havent been bad, he made the best Blade movie of the Trilogy, Pans Laberynth was simply awsome, Hellboy 1 and 2 are great, Cronos is a clasic. This man knows how to do good movies, he wont dissapoint.

GDT has made some good movies and one great movie (Pan's Labyrinth). I think Wise has a point; this could go either way. I think it will do well in Asia where they are big into Mecha, but it looks like Transformers vs. Gojira to me. I hope I'm wrong and it's awesome; hopefully there will be more than meets the eye.

Yup, GDT, rarely put's a foot wrong.....

Unlike, mellowdoux, who's ALWAY'S putting his foot in his Mouth........

Thank's for the Pleasure of Laughing at you AGAIN, you Silly Rabbit......

This movie looks like it could be right up my alley... but not many else's.  I'm looking forward to this, and hope it is a great flick.  I just have a feeling it is going to bomb here in the US.

Hope I'm wrong.

I have high hopes for this movie... I've always loved giant mecha (although I'm not big on giant monsters) like Voltron, Battletech, MechWarrior, etc.  and if this Movie is as good as I hope, I'm sure I'll end up seeing it MANY times in the theatre.

Darth Bob - If it looks like Transformers (it doesn' t to me), wouldn't that be a good thing? It's safe to say that movie franchise has done VERY well for the studios it represents.

Here's hoping!

DarthOTD - WTH are you talking about, man?
