28 Days Later has to be one of the most well rounded flicks existing within the realms of both genre and social commentary since the late 80’s. The trailer actually made me wait until it came out on DVD so I could control the whole fear element, since zombies and cannibalism tend to really bother me. Overall, for me, it was like Omega Man meets Dawn of the Dead meets Trainspotting. I am concerned that Danny Boyle will not be directing the sequel (too), but it seems as though he created a rich enough mythos that a director and a writer seriously interested in breaking new ground in telling a story about the effects of a post apocalyptic environment on human nature, and bio-zombie, enRAGEd track stars will be a wonderful continuation. The trailer is gut wrenching…
