Microsoft and Recoton have come to an agreement, in which will be jointly developing the XBox headset, known as the XBox Communicator, with Microsoft.

The X-Box Communicator will allow gamers to speak to each other while playing online games. The XBox is internet ready and developers are already planning online games such as Unreal Championship. The XBox Communicator will be released when the XBox online network becomes available, in the spring of 2002.

Sega had promised something similar for the Dreamcast and never delivered. The idea of talking to your friends while gaming is hot in the industry and may be one more reason to own a XBox.
