Obvious money grab releasing this. If it's cheap enough (lowered first week pricing) maybe I would buy since I am not going out of my way to own entire season collections. Movie ticket included is a great incentive also.

I'm with you Dazzler. It should be called "X-Files: Quick We Need Money." I am going out of my way to buy the entire seasons on dvd, and I'll very likely get new copies of each season if\when they're released on Blu-Ray. Frankly I don't see how these episodes relate to the new movie, except that they'd provide a brief intro to those who hasn't seen it. The rest of us already know. If this had real bonus material, something special to this release alone (and not just the interview) I'd likely consider going out and getting it. But, then again, this is for the newbies. Bring me the movie instead.

Then again, it could just be trying to bring in people who say, "Oh, I won't bother. I never watched the series" or "I was just a casual viewer. I missed too much." Not that I think it will work, but it's probably an attempt to bring those people in to see the movie in the theater.

Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose is, hands down, my favorite X-Files episode. That is all.

I don't know how many of you are interested but my site is actually running a contest giving away free copies of the X-Files Revelations. My site has two dvds to give away and anyone in the USA is elgible to enter. There is obviously no cost and all you have to do is fill in a form which essentially just asks for your email. The email will only be used to inform you if you have won the contest. If you are interested you can check out the contest at http://myblogisonfire.com/couchpotato/2008/07/03/giveaway-the-x-files-revelations-on-dvd/

I just have to wait for my bro to get the DVD because of the interview, and watch it for FREE. I will not pay to watch that (not even rental).
