Though X-Men: Days of Future Past has arrived in theaters, currently still in the top 10 (see here). Bryan Singer is back to his old tricks of teasing the fans via social media. This time Singer has teased us with the first treatment page of X-Men: Age of Apocalypse. Check out the Instagram post below.

X-Men: Age of Apocalypse is scheduled for a 2016 release. The cast has been rumored to feature the X-Men: First Class cast.

They do mention the Nile river, and Apocalypse was born in Egypt 4,000 years ago.

I won't be surprised if his 4 horsemen are The Thing, Human Torch, Mr. F, and Invisible Pool Boy...... jk.

Wait...the Nile...I think this is the script for the Stargate re-boot.

Can't wait! DOFP is still raking in the cash. I have good faith that finally getting a tangible supervillain other than Magneto and Stryker will up the ante.

They have a lot of competition now.  I think they will try to finally get these movies right.

momitchell7 7/1/2014 10:23:55 AM

Wasn't it already teased at the end of DOFP?

The scene at the end of DOFP was of him building the pyramids.  This seems like there is a battle against the 4 horsemen back in ancient eqypt.  If done properly, this is where Apocalypse deems the earth not ready for his enlightenment, then hybernates til the earth is ready, somewhere in the eighties.  Apparantly Mullets and hair bands are the way of the future!

Ya, and in the previous movies he did not appear because even he knew, that they were not the real Xmen and were not worthy of getting their asses kicked by him.   ; )

Anyone else feel that Singer X-Men movies (as well as the Ratner disaster ‘Halley Barry and a bunch of random Mutants’ a.k.a X3) are the film equivalent of waterboarding the movie going public?

Sad... Marvel fanboys can't enjoy a movie about Marvel comic book character's unless it's released by The Walt Disney Company.  Maybe if Marvel had a little integrity they wouldn't have sold the rights to the X-Men to Fox in the first place...no one twisted their arm...it was a money grab.  Marvel has shown that they will give up just about anything to anybody if the price is right.
