X-Men: Days of Future Past arrives 5-23-14
Here is the trailer released by 20th Century Fox for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. Below is the tease that was released earlier on the X-Men’s Instagram account. The new trailer is nothing short of Epic!
Synopsis: This latest chapter in 20th Century Fox's X-Men saga stars Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry and Daniel Cudmore. Singer is back behind the camera.
Plot Concept: The film is based on the comic book storyline "Days of Future Past," which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne's run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will strike theaters on May 23, 2014.

Well I dont have high hopes for this based on this trailer did'nt really do anything for me other than ensure that it will be viewed for free.  After so many missed oppurtunites with this franchise I just cant get very hyped up about it.  I just dont feel like the people behind the scenes really get the xmen.

I've given up all hope that FOX will deliver any type of justice to the X-Men Comics Franchise.  So with that, I'm going on the basis that this is an entirely different animal.  So hopefully, it will be an entertaining concept.  Its a shame too, this was one of my most favorite story lines too.

Eldogg42, I hear ya.  The X-Men were my favorites growing up (sorry Avengers) and the movies have never seemed to capture the magic.  However, X-Men was the movie that made Hollywood believe in Comic Book movies again.  X-Men is far from perfect but it showed that comics have compelling characters and storylines that even the mainstream public will find interesting.

That said, I hope this movie will finally wash the bad taste of X-Men 3 out of my mouth.

Side note:  The opening of X2 with Nightcrawler is one of the best scenes in a comic book movie ever.

I forgot X3 right after I saw it.

This looks good, more in the vein of First Class than the previous X movies ( and I was pleasantly surprised by First Class).  Of course like many I went in to FC with a bad taste because they totally effed up the time line - but they did that with all the other movies (how do you kill Cyclops off? Really Fox?) - in the end FC was a solid movie. So I am going in to this with my eyes wide open and my expectations a little higher.

I think this will do well next year but no where as well as the Cap movie - that ish looks awesome!

There will always be hard core dorks who think they're special by not liking something for the sake of not liking it because they think they're 'real' fans. The X-Men movies have been far more than anyone could hope for. Hasn't been one that wasn't thoroughly enjoyable

@IGNITETHEPAGES I agree with the the Nightcrawler scene.. HOLY @#*%

I thought XMen one was good, despite some changes to the characters. Same with the 2nd film (Nightcrawler was my favorite of that movie). Xmen 3... You suck (especially for mis using Multiple Man: he could have his own movie(s))    I never got into the Wolverine side movies.. just can't. Not saying I didn't try, but the quality of effects and writing just kept going down IMO(and what a waste of vital characters).    Not saying First Class didn't have it's down falls, but it was definitely fresh in a way that Vaughn was def trying to re use and reform what had happened after a few iffy movies.. I will thank Michael Fassbender for his portrayel of Magneto as well.  That is what atleast kept me going.. oh, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique was cool IMO.    When it is all said and done, the finished project will not be the comics we grew up with, but I think Singer wants to redeem the franchise HE STARTED with hopefully something close to what we've read. With the addition of time travel I believe he and the other writers may undo a few things that have transpired within the xmen film universe.

Or atleast try to re visit some 'past' endeavors, film-wise
