From Trask Industries

Here is the first viral teaser trailer from X-Men Days of Future Past. This particular viral video is from Trask Industries. A good tease if ever there was one.

Synopsis: This latest chapter in 20th Century Fox's X-Men saga stars Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry and Daniel Cudmore. Singer is back behind the camera.

Plot Concept: The film is based on the comic book storyline "Days of Future Past," which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne's run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will strike theaters on May 23, 2014.

Great teaser.

X-Men: Days of Whatever Past. This just screams Terminator knock off. The only thing missing is the distinctive creepy techno-synth music. The robots on the SYFY Channel's goofy Robot Combat League show looked scarier and more menacing.

The Days of Future Past storyline was in the comics in 1981 and predates the Terminator by 3 years.

I stand corrected on the timeframe but you've got to admit the Sentinel looks cheesy.

I'm going to reserve judgement until we get a closer look at the entire robot..  Right now the faces remind me of Bumblebee from the Transformers movies.   BUt in fairness the original comic book sentinels looked pretty cheesy.  The color scheme looks right though..

LOVED the teaser. I was not expecting the Sentinels to look like the comics, or even like the small glimpse we saw in "The Last Stand" (Danger Room sequence). I am really reserving judgement on this film. I think Bryan Singer IS a gifted filmmaker, and has been harangued by the poor performance of "Superman Returns" (which I still enjoy watching). Did anyone see "Valkyrie" with Tom Cruise? Pretty good movie. I even enjoyed "Jack The Giant Slayer" for the matinee fun it was supposed to be.

I have agreed with many Maniacs who feel this should be TWO films, though. And who knows? It still can be. If Peter Jackson could make two Hobbit movies into three, Singer and Fox can certainly flesh this story out and do it justice....plus make more money!

This movie is gonna be awesome. Its about time we get to see the sentinels in an x-men movieIt looks like they really did Bishop justice at least as far as looks go.I think This might be Singer's masterpiece.Besides the Avengers I can't remember looking forward to a movie as much as I am to this one.I hope we get a trailor with the x-men sooner than later.

very effective teaser... i personally have no problem with the sentinels. But, then again, I'm no mech nerd either.

Steven Spielberg gave us Jaws, ET, Saving Private Ryan...and Hook and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  Not every director is going to hit it out of the park with every release.  Superman Returns sucked but The Usual Suspects and Valkyire were excellent.  I expect DOFP will be a very good and entertaining move.

I don't think the Sentinels look cheesy at all especially since we haven't seen them in action yet.  You're not going to deploy 30 feet tall robots and not have the general population walking around in fear of the things that are supposed to protect them.  If anything is cheesy it's the Sentinels in the comics.  They're big and clunky; these look to be the exact opposite.  Around 18 feet tall, nimble and quick.  Hopefully, Nimrod will be a main part of the story line as well.
