20th Century Fox and Yahoo Movies have rolled out the first clip from Matthew Vaughn's upcoming origin tale, X-Men: First Class. The clip is called "Magic Trick" and be watched in the video player down below. The studio has also revealed some more TV spots, which are also down below.

The adventure tale also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Edi Gathegi, Bill Bilner, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily and Zoe Kravitz. Helmer Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake) led from the director's chair, based on a screenplay by Josh Schwartz, Jamie Moss, Ashley Miller, Zack Stentz and Jane Goldman.

Plot Concept: "X-Men: First Class" charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

X-Men: First Class strikes theaters June 3, 2011.

Thanks to raa2001 for the submission.

It almost seems like Professor X either made or told Mystique to reveal herself at that moment.

That's all I can say. That actually gained my interest.

Previous thoughts on this were always for the worst, but now I second-guess myself.

If the major plot point revolves around the Cuban Missile Crisis, why can't the film-makers do their homework and get it right. In those clips they show Soviet surface warships that weren't even designed cruising off Cuban. In fact, the only Soviet naval vessels that were involved in the Crisis were some diesel-electric, non-nuclear submarines. Also, the U.S. Navy de-commissioned its last battleship in 1958 and would not re-commission a battleship until seven years after the Cuban Missile Crisis.   It isn’t as if it isn’t hard to do the proper research. I really hate it when film-makers play fast and loose with historical and technical facts.
