I REALLLLLY hope we see a picture of Thor with his helmet soon.

Anyways , Thor pictures look sweet! Green Lantern's new pictures are looking better. Still iffy on the suit and I really need to see a trailer to see how I feel about it. So far so good. Ok Captain America... give us some pictures already.

monstermaniac: I don't think Thor will appear with a helmet. That's just my opinion. Either way, I'm totally geeking over the movie. I don't think whether Thor has a helmet or not will ruin it for me.

Only helmet I remember Thor wearing in the comics is the one that comes with his very rarely used heavy armor.  The suit is inconvenient and usually unnecessary, brought out only when facing the very toughest of foes.  Same with the magic girdle that doubles his strength.

Thor: Looking better every day.

Green Lantern: Looking better than yesterday.

The Walking Dead: Looking better than anything else. Very excited for this one, almost counting down the days... please AMC make it epic and awesome.

 magic girdle?your kidding right

FerretJohn 7/17/2010 11:01:28 AM

Knew that was going to raise a couple eyebrows. These days most people think of girdles as womens underwear, but the classic girdle was actually a thick belt of leather or hide and metal worn around the midsection to defend the stomach and kidneys during battle and to hold the sword and other weapons. The magic strength-doubling girdle was part of Thors ensemble in classic Norse mythology, a gift from Loki after one of his practical jokes put him on Thor and Odins shit last again. Comic-book Thor uses it every once in awhile, but using it weakens him for a time when he takes it off and in most cases his natural strength is more than enough to handle the problem (and I think most writers forget he has it).

I'm looking forward to The Walking Dead but haven't really been following the casting announcement too much. As a reader of the series, it's great to look at that poster and be able to tell exactly what character everybody is playing - and that they're all from the first arc.

Is that Star Sapphire laying down behind Hector Hammond?

ponyboy76 7/18/2010 2:23:30 AM

Apparently its Abin Sur.

I think if Thor does appear with his helmet, it'll be at some point whie he is in Asgard. I still think its just meant for battle so if there is a scene with him fighting Frosat giants or something that hopefully they will have it on. I don't want to see it right now. I want to wait to see it on the bg screen. I'm also hoping they don't do something silly like they did in Clash of the Titans and have the helmet in some weapons armory and have him look at it like he wouldn't caught dead wearing it.

I just can't get excited about this X-men flick. All they seem to be doing is getting younger actors to play the same parts to just tell another mashed together story.  If this is about the formation of the X-men and how Prof X and Magnue went there separate routes, why is Emma Frost and Mystique in it? And where the hell is Jean Grey, Angel and Iceman? I hate you Fox! I truly do.

Looks like they're doing the Hellfire Club.  Seems Kevin Bacon will be Sebastian Shaw.  Now that casting I do not like.
