this one is just a rental for me I am a big xmen fan but I have to agree with violator on this one. This is a story that should have stayed within the pages of the comic book. It is a story that has been played out before and if i remember right it was the ulimate xmen story line

I'm in.

Personally I like this X-Universe.

I like it because it's not the same as I know, Anything is possible and I don't know how things will unfold.

The characters are still true to the characters and spirit of the comics

Looks just as good as I had hoped. I'm guessing this will match X2 as the best of the bunch.

This looks............................................ AMAZING!  Like how it is connected to the originals... GREAT TRAILER!

violator14 2/10/2011 4:16:35 PM

Geez... i can't believe what I'm seeing from you guys. U guys are all folding like a bunch of hookers who got slugged in the stomach!! Granted I like Matthew Vaughn and i loved Kick-Ass, but where are your principals!!?!?!?!  Are there any other true X-Men fans out there ??  What's becoming of this world???  =.(

gauleyboy420 2/10/2011 4:28:38 PM

Hey Violator,

I'm not folding, I have ALWAYS LOVED Singers X1 and X@ Movies, they are still favorites of mine. X3 is a fun action movie that stars the merry mutants, and I'd rather not talk about Wolverine. Not a ffan of a non-Lethat Logan. I mean Singer letthe rampage, but Hood chopped his balls off.

As soon as I heard this wasn't a re-boot, and that Singer was a producer I was on board. Like I said, I';m all in

it doesn't look god awful...but the trailer turned me off. i was a bit excited by some pictures I had seen earlier, but if this was supposed to be the one to make regular people say "WOW, another X-men. No way" it failed. random shots of cast members not doing much. the action shown not very engaging. beast looked kind of crappy. and the "big" moment of trailer left me saying "so what?" plus it always kind of pisses me off when prequels try to outdo the older films in terms of what the characters can do. this looks like another Wolverine to me...I know it will end up better than that...but with what I have just seen...not impressed

I'm a big guy, muscular and I am an MMA fighter and it really bothers me to see "superheroes" on screen that I can beat up with dirty looks. Why, oh why, do they always cast scrawny people in these roles? We all have our own views of what's plausible and this is my one big hang-up.

Take the Thor and Capt America movies. At least the two actors bulked up and look like superheroes so it's plausible to me and even beleivable that these guys could maybe beat me up. That's what I want in a superhero movie. They are drawn that way in the comics and their muscles are every bit as important as the costumes, the storylines, etc....

With that said, I thought the trailer looked cool and so far the story seems good - sorry Violator. I'll have to see more from later trailers to determine whether or not I will actually go see the movie at the theater(I have a hard time sitting still for too long) but I will definitely watch the DVD(that way I have subtitles, can pause for peepee breaks, etc.).
