Well I've always been up for this despite what Singer and Fox have done to the X-universe. But it's nice to see the change of opinion, if anything it shows that even fanboys can have an open mind. This looks really good for a trailer, it just  gives me more confidence.

gauley, why is it that I always have to pick on you :) "The characters are still true to the characters and spirit of the comics" yeah that sounds good but you  couldn't be more wrong, either you don't know the X-Men or you're just a Singer apologist. Not that he got meverything wrong but what he did get wrong was major

Looks good. Great line at the end..."Peace was never an option." Classic magneto. Look forward to seeing this.

I'll say it, The trailer looks good...but so did every X -movie trailer.

I have to agree with Violator to and extent and Wiseguy

I'm not going to go off on a tangent about how FOX has irrecoverably  ruined what could and should have been one the greatest comic book movie franchises ever, but the turd is in the water. There's no way they're shoving it back up their collective ass.

So we have Magneto as an X-men and characters not seen in X-books until this and the last decade somehow in the 60's. Gauleyboy , my friend, you need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid

Yeah, I'll see this like I watched the rest of them and hope to high hell it isn't the train wreck X3 was.

When you have superpowers you really don't need to be muscular. Everyone is a bodybuilder in comics especially back in the day. If you're a mutant with mental or energy emitting powers why do you need to be muscular. Obviously it makes more sense for some characters and is even required but not for all, especially mutants and teen mutants to be more specific

Your all traitors.  That is all I have to say.  DIE FOX DIE.

Can they release another X-Men movie with a Python-esque clip at the beginning asking us all to forget about Ratner's crap?

As some sort of "alternate Marvel Universe" film, this looks pretty good.  Better than I expected.  But it is NOT the X-Men I grew up with.  It's not even the X-Men I read now.

The trailer looks good.

I'm cautiously optimistic for this now.  I'm not a hardcore X-fan, but even I was a little wary of Singer's changes to the timeline and characterizations.  I'm over the fact that these movies will never properly line up with the comic's chain of events, so I only hope that it stays true to its own continuity, something I felt Wolverine got away with too much.  Nevertheless, the 1st 2 X-movies were enjoyable films and I liked what Vaughn did with Kick-Ass, so I'm holding out hope for this to deliver.

Case in point: as much as I like Jackman's Wolverine, it'll be nice to have the character sit out for a while and let other characters important to the mythos (like the team's founder) have a chance to take center stage.  That's what bugged me the most about the 1st trilogy: they were all, essentially, Wolverine-centric and everyone else got relegated to supporting cast.

Unless Jackman makes a cameo in this one, then I'll just be annoyed that they can't go one movie without the guy...

Looks good to me, as I had hoped.  Loved the idea of it taking place in the sixties and it seems to be what I had hoped for.  Better looking then the travesty that is my hero, Spiderman...

6dra6on6:

I used to ask the same question.  But as someone who has a black belt in Tai Kwon Do, if I had a super power, I wouldn't ever let anyone touch me.  Much less have to "beat them up."  Even Superman has heat vision and super breath.  For any mere mortal, they'd never get near him.  Same with the X-Men.  Do you think you'd ever be able to lay a hand on Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Iceman, Havok, or the Beast?  And oh yeah, go ahead and touch Rogue.  How would that work out?

Hell, Magneto, if he actually existed, would just split you apart or simply drop a car on you.  They have super powers.  That's the whole point.  They don't have to be muscle bound cage fighters to win the day.  And honestly, with some of those powers at their disposal, who would actually work out to the point where they looked like Thor or Captain America?  Maybe a quick jog here and there and 20 minutes on a Bowflex, but that's about it.

Now I could make the point that martial arts training would be valuable, but they certainly don't need to put on 50 pounds of muscle mass for that.
