Its nice hear stuff about the Supes movie going forward as id love to see a kick ass superman movie.

I don't get the characters they are using for this  x-men movie. I like them but they are not the characters from this time period  (except Mag/Xavier/ Cyc) which is what the movie was supposed to be about.

Its such a shame Marvel signed off to Fox for the rights to some of there characters.I'm not sure what the time line it is for Fox to have the rights until they have to make another movie. I think its like ten years they have and if they don't do anything Marvel has the option to getting it back.

I know Ghost rider is coming up  and thats why they are moving forward to making it or Marvel will get it back.

I just read that Ed Norton won't be appearing as Bruce Banner in The Avengers. No big deal there, because I think allwe really need to see is the Hulk. I've seen Banner's story twice and don't need another rehash.

Chris Columbus will do a fine job directing Superman although I'll go to my grave thinking Michael Bay (berate him all you want he's great with effects and iconic imagery) would do a great job. I'm glad Goyer didn't get the job; let him work on scripts because that's about all he's good at. That and promoting projects that will never see the light of day.

I didn't even know ther was another 30 Days of Night movie being prepared.

Can't wait for a Green Lantern trailer!

I'm worried Fox is going to fumble the ball again with another X-Men movie. Hopefully Singer can keep the film on course. All of the casting info coming and going isn't a good sign. Fox just doesn't care if these movies are any good. They know they'll make oney and all they have to do is keep churning out crappy movies to retain the film rights. It's a shame that Singer left the franchise to make that awful emo Suprman movie.

@wessmith1966 - Can you post a link to that new that Ed Noton wont be in the Avengers movie? That would suck huge if the Hulk would be in the movie in it but Norton would not.  If we have the Hulk then we need Banner.  Banner is the Hulk and the Hulk is Banner.  I would hope Marvel pays for Norton to step to the plate to be Banner.

The Pro should get picked up by FX and come on after Archer or Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I'm cool with another actor taking over the Banner role. I like Norton but so many reports about his little primadonna act can't all be false.

Yawn, great another actor for the Hulk.

I do like superheroes and Mutants but I'm more of a Spiderman/ Batman fan. Actaully I grew up on the Hulk, I remember that Lou guest stared on Dallas, protraying the Hulk.

I just wish that Fox wasn't involved with any of the X-Men films but when places like Marvel need help they have to brach out. Every pun intended.

Chris Columbus directing SUPERMAN?  Can't see that.

@Wiseguy - I bet they are trying to get him to accept a lower amount for his salary. Norton has to be the Hulk after the last Hulk movie, That last Hulk movie kicked was too much ass for him not to be Banner again. He may just be asking for too much cash like Terrance Howard was doing in Iron Man 2. Tsk Tsk greedy actors.....

Wiseguy 7/11/2010 2:44:58 AM

axia. my thinking is that maybe Marvel is using salary as a way of getting rid of Norton. For one since he plays Banner we know his screen time more than likely would be more limited than the other Avengers. Second I tend to believe that some of the rumors about the troubles between Norton/Letterier and the studio during and especially after the Hulk was finished during editing and the limited promo he did for it are giving Marvel pause. So why not just lowball him, if he walks then their done with that headache and if he bites then why not put up with some of his b.s. since he's taking a paycut. Just my theory and if true I'd be ok with that personally

wessmith1966 7/11/2010 9:08:16 AM

@Wiseguy...I think you hit the nail on the head. I can't see Banner having a big role in an Avengers movie; it's the Hulk who will probably have the most screen time, not his alter ego. Avengers is probably going to be Marvel's most expensive movie to date, so I can see not using Norton to save a few bucks. If Banner was integral to the story then I'd say keep Norton around, but I don't think that's how the story's going to go.
