XXX Gets Digital

Digital Domain has been tapped to provide special effects for Revolution Studios' Vin Diesel starring action project, XXX.

For the film, DD will create over 100 effects shots, most of which will involve extreme sports activities. The film will feature Diesel as an extreme sport athlete who is recruited by a government organization to infiltrate a Russian spy ring. 

Joel Hynek will act as the film's visual f/x supervisor. Matthew Butler will take on digital effects supervisor duties. Kelly L'Estrange will be the project's visual f/x producer.

Rob Cohen (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS) is helming the project which has previously been described as a hip-hop version of James Bond.

XXX is currently scheduled to hit theater screens on July 26.
