I agree, gauley. I really enjoyed it. While I didn't really care for the love triangle, the backstory on Aqualad was a welcome one, cause I didn't know what the heck it was. A little character development early on in a series is a good thing.

Too… much… Twilight!
Young Justice answers the question of why this Aqualad is Kaldur and not Garth (the traditional Aqualad) by transforming the bulk of the episode into a dippy teen love triangle. Both boys moon incessantly over Aquagirl while Kaldur broods over his place in the universe and the remainder of the team engages in various pointless recreational activities to remind us that they’re present. Continuity buffs will love it (we get to see all three incarnations of the Flash around the dinner table), but the rest of the time, the episode goes nowhere fast. At least Black Manta shows up to increase the explosion factor in the final act.

gauleyboy420 while I agree with you about the need for character development giving this episode an A is a bit of a stretch. Cutting away from the battle to see the small character moments only helped to kill the tension they were building during the Black Manta attack. Just my 2 cents.
I got to agree with Gauleyboy, this was one of the best episodes by far, it gave us insight in to a fairly new character and it allowed us to see the relationships the others have with their mentors. I personally loved the Flash family dinner, and the interaction between Dick and Bruce. However the Black Mantis steals the show. It was pretty cool seeing what I can only assume to be Starro and a forshadowing of things to come , which I would also assume will lead to the League being controlled by Starro and Young Justice coming to the Heroes rescue
I Liked the insight to Aqualad, and the rest of the Titans while not on missions. It helps make episodes where they are fighting bad guys that much better because it set up character development. I disagree with your grade Rob. I give it an A
