Everything sounds great it's in mono but sounds like it's in stereo.I couldn't detect any problems. The voice acting and music is blended perfectly.
Another solid looking set of episodes.Pierrot took good care of this show.
It's 1994 tv episodes and it looks the same as it did when it was aired I'm sure.
The box is beautiful. The front of it is a picture of Hiei.On the other sides is a picture of Kurama the same as the cover to boxset 2.Finally a new picture of Yusuke and Kuwabara this one is really nice picture. The covers to the dvd are all similar it just a characters portrait and the vol number. Each volume has a different character. They could've been better covers though.
Your standard stuff for R2's.The show just starts up and then if you want this you need to click the menu button. It's just the episode number and along with the episode name nothing special at all the basic standard stuff.
None unless you count the 20 page booklet which just covers some of the fights in the series, the episodes and what happens. Then finally the voice actors their picture and a list of other animes they voice acted for. Also included are some clear postcards which are just the same as the covers to the discs.
A few slight spoilers and then somethings I didn't like.
It picks up with the rest of the devil world arc, and heads to the conclusion of the series.A lot of things happen they even play a video game instead of fighting. There are a lot of twists and turns and it's pretty exciting. Finally the last battle comes Yusuke vs Sensui this is the best fight in the whole series. It's a very interesting fight and some unexpected things happen.Because of what happens in this fight and what took over Yusuke's body, Yusuke is heading off to the Devil World to investigate.
With this we find out more about Yusuke, and even about his father. We also find out more things about Kurama and Hiei. The only problem is there is virtually no character development for Kuwabara. The thing YYH did good was to develop all these characters and even the villans. Then it leads quickly to the conclusion but before that the show makes a fatal flaw.It starts up another tournment in episode 105.Perhaps the creator was planning on making something similar to the Ankoku Bujitsukai but YYH was stressing him out so he quickly ended YYH manga. It was just plain stupid for another tournment to start up.It's not that these episodes suck it's just that it doesn't fit. It's not a thoroughly well done tournment like the Ankoku Bujitsukai, and it's rushed. This tournment is almost like filler episodes and it's whole purpose is to make a few more fights. It reminds me of the horrible ending to the Dragon Ball manga/DBZ tv series.Although the tournment does serve a little purpose such as having the Devil World and Hum
Other than that problem another great set of episodes this is a great series.I'm looking very forward to the R1 release so I could have subtiles and understand the story better.Only if you really enjoy YYH a lot should you buy this.Since it's pricy it's better to hold off for the R1's since they will have subtitles. If you're dying to know what happens manga volume 14-19 might help ease the pain of waiting.
At the end I'm pretty much very please with the YYH tv series.I recommend it very much and it's not a series you could judge right away it is one you have to see a lot of.It's one of the best TV series ever and it's story gets better actually everything gets better as it goes on.
Great stuff.Very recommended.
