Konami of America announced today that it will bring the Japanese hit game series, YU-GI-OH! to the United States this November. The first game released will be YU-GI-OH! DARK DUEL STORIES for the GAME BOY COLOR and will release this November.
YU-GI-OH! DARK DUEL STORIES players use a 40-card deck to drain their opponent's life. Cards fall into many elements including Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Dark, Light, Magic and Trap. Cards must attack, defend and be combined in order to win the game.
"After selling more than 7 million games and over 3.5 billion cards since 1998, YU-GI-OH! has proven to be an unstoppable force," says Dick Wnuk, Executive Vice President of Konami of America Inc. "YU-GI-OH! is so big in Japan that Americans are already getting excited about the launch of YU-GI-OH! DARK DUEL STORIES for GAME BOY COLOR in the US."
YU-GI-OH! DARK DUEL STORIES has sold over 7 million copies for the PLAYSTATION and GAME BOY COLOR in Japan.
